June 20

Great Work Volunteers!

As reported by Mr. Frost

Watered garden. Thunder in the distance. Might rain.

Picked about 50 peas. A lot more to go. (Picture to come from Jackson)

Pulled some dead pea plants.

A couple tomatoes forming.

Small marigold plants sprouting by scallions and sunchokes.


June 21

We picked about 30 peas and we picked a few dead pea plants.


June 22

We picked peas and dead pea plants. Also trimmed around the boxes and watered all of the vegetables.

No rain yesterday or rain clouds in sight today.

Picked 30 peas and pulled some pea plants.

Moved some lattices from peas to tomatoes.

I stopped by and clipped the tops of the garlic (called garlic "scapes" SP?). Peas are still growing but they don't love the heat.

We should put in a summer crop soon to replace the peas and pull out the garlic on July 15.

Tomatoes, kale, potatoes, and sunchokes look great.
